We've all heard of them, seen them and heard of people who've fallen prey to them, but why do internet scams and fraud continue to trick otherwise intelligent and savvy people into disclosing private information, believing outlandish claims and sending money to unscrupulous strangers?
I've compiled examples of numerous phishing attempts, pharming scams and frauds that I have personally been attacked with between the beginning of November 2011 and the end of January 2012 (just three months!)
What keeps internet fraud alive?
It's simple - "It's the MONEY!"
How do scammers do it?
They prey on people's inherent trust, naiveté and/or greed!
Who are the victims?
Senior citizens, the unsuspecting, the desperate, the greedy . . . and potentially YOU!
